About Natalia

Interior Designer, Stylist & All Things Creative

I am Natalia Higgins, a British Interior Designer and Creative Director of Natalia Design, a boutique interior design agency which I established in 2008.

With 12+ years experience in the field across both Commercial and Residential Interior Design in the diverse London Property Market, I am property orientated to the bone. With property as my canvas for my creativity, I do not believe in ‘vanilla design’ or conforming to the status quo and my work is underpinned by my ambition to create and deliver unconventional, fresh and evocative environments. I do not believe in design for design sake. I have a thorough understanding of the value in timeless, authentic design and a strong sense of the added value that good space planning and interior architecture bring.

I have an unending passion for natural colours, fabrics, textures, art, the unusual. I would describe myself as an adventurous genuine creative with a keen eye for detail. I have worked both with developers on market facing projects as well as end users to create a home and I am comfortable in both the residential and commercial camps. Unusually with my education and extensive experience in both Interior Design and Graphic Design, I am able to bridge the gap between the two disciplines. This arms me with a versatility that is well suited to both brand focused interior projects and to private residential clients.

Supported by my strong, reliable team of artisans, craftsman, architects, project managers and contractors that I have carefully compiled over my career, I have a team suited for every variety of project and budget, offering honest advice to clients about realistic budgets and seeking resourceful solutions.

I am hands-on with my approach to every project, personally leading the client through the design experience and always the first point of contact to ensure no details are lost in translation and rigorous standards are met. Avoiding superficial interior fads I passionately pursue each client’s own criteria and individual identity in a sensitive and discreet manner.

I broadened my design vocabulary with an Art Foundation Course at Leeds College of Art and Design followed by a BA (Hons) in Graphic Design at Northumbria University. After which I honed my interiors skills under the sound mentorship of Kelly Hoppen. Following this I had international experience designing branded retail interiors for Lauren Ralph Lauren, Timothy Oulton, Andrew Martin, Oly San Francisco and Coco Republic.
